Traditional Shrimp Cocktail



Dairy Free Nut Free Gluten Free 

What’s New Year’s Eve without shrimp cocktail!? Save money, cook your own - They’ll taste better than any pre-cooked shrimp. Serve with homemade cocktail sauce.

Large whole, frozen, peeled and deveined uncooked shrimp
6 quarts water
½ lemon – sliced

Bring water to a rapid boil. Add lemon slices and frozen shrimp. Cook shrimp for several minutes after putting them in the water. They will turn pink. Drain and rinse well in cold water. 
Refrigerate until your guests arrive.  Serve garnished with lettuce or parsley with cocktail sauce.
 
Cocktail sauce:
1 cup chili sauce or ketchup (Check label for allergens!)
2 tablespoons horseradish (or more for spicier sauce)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (check label for allergens!)

Mix all ingredients. Enjoy!
