WIN-It-Wednesday: Angell Crispy Candy Bars … Gluten-Free, Only 170 Calories & Delicious!

Even when I am a little bad – I try to throw in a little goodness too. Kind of like that devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other scenario that often plays out in my mind when I reach out to eat the sweet and sinful.

But as the old saying goes, “the good usually always wins-out in the end” especially rings true when munching an Angell Crisp Candy Bar.

I like the crispy Angell Candy Bars because they make decadent snacking a very, very, very good thing.

At only 170 calories per bar, these USDA organic and Fair-Trade certified,  gluten free & kosher-free crispy candy bars contain no corn syrup, artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives. And if that isn’t good enough – 1% of gross sales support environmental charities through 1% for the Planet.

Since I discovered Angell Crisp Candy Bars at a recent tradeshow I’ve been hooked. I have missed crispy candy bars since going gluten free, so Angell Bars were heaven at first bite.

The founders of Angell bars, Christopher and Suzanne Angell are super cool people too. These entrepreneurs-at-heart started their company because they wanted to create a great tasting organic candy bar that was healthier for you and better for the planet.

Christopher and Suzanne also know that it is hard to give up old habits, especially delicious ones, so they decided that instead of giving up candy bars, they’d just create ones that had all of the deliciousness of their old favorites (maybe even a little bit extra) but none of the guilt (or gluten in the Crispy Bars!).

And take my word for it that they have met their heaven sent dream… made with real chocolate and great organic ingredients, Angell bars are naturally good and divinely delicious!

Guilty goodness is the reason why I am so very excited this week’s BeFreeForMe’s WIN-It-Wednesday is sponsored by Angell Bars… and JUST in time for back to school snacking!

  3. Kate Terres Says:

I am a little devil when I buy a whole pack of gluten free treats and hide them from the kids so I can keep them all to myself. 😉

  4. Christy Hamilton Says:

I absolutely love angel bars! My favorite is the coconut white chocolate. Delicious! And no hydrogenated oils!

  5. Caren Says:

Sweet treats like this actually allow me to be a little devilish, instead of constantly noshing on grapes and cheese sticks while my friends dive into gluten laden cookies and brownies!

  6. Marcelina Rushing Says:

My 3 yr daughter (has Celiac) she LOVES these delicious treats so much that she will sneak into the pantry and get one when we are not looking. Kinda hard to deny that you ate it with crumbs on your shirt sweetie!! LOL!

  7. Kathleen Says:

my daughter needs to learn to be a little devil as she was just diagnosed with Celiac, and needs to learn the ropes!!!

  8. Cara Says:

I can be a little devilish when I only eat gf cake for a meal, but I can be an angel in that I eat healthy the rest of the time. 🙂

  9. nancy smith Says:

Oh, let me see, how many ways this “little old lady” can be a little devil? The big one is, eating potato chips that are NOT gluten free! However, just like any other devilish thing we all do, it always comes back to remind me of the “devilish” side of eating gluten and the angelic side of eating gluten-free!

  10. robin Says:

when I bake goodies I always throw in a hidden veggie and the kids never figure it out.

  11. katheryn Says:

Anyone giving away gluten free chocolate bars must be an angel! I’ll try to not be a devil and remember to share.

  12. Kirsten Says:

The angel is telling me to take these 20lbs of fresh peaches I have and eat them as is or freeze them. The devil
is telling me all about how delish peach pie is along with peach crumble, cobbler, tarts…anything with loads of butter and sugar. I am just glad my angel and devil are both gluten free.

  13. cindy Says:

I like to be a little angel and help others in need by making them a meal.

  14. cb Says:

I switched the milk ice cream to soy milk ice cream. And I still haven’t admitted it.

  15. Janet LaRue Says:

I am a devil in that I don’t always tell my daughter that I have bought GF snacks and tend to hide them from her and the family in the pantry closet! But they usually rummage through the closet and find them and then eat them all on me and the joke is on me in the end!!!

  16. Cassie Says:

I am a little devil in the fact that my healthy gluten free foods are so expensive and I have actually gotten family addicted to many snacks (such as rice crackers) even though they aren’t gluten intolerant. But can be seen as an angel with this because it has pulled them away from the unhealthy snacks they were chowing on before!

  17. Christine S. Says:

My daughter is an angel when she finds a new gluten-free treat she thinks I’d like and hides it in my purse for me to discover later.

  18. Esther Fraser Says:

Nutella! Love to make GF sandwiches – nutella and yogurt covered raisin sandwiches – sounds childish but is oh so good.

  19. Cassandra Says:

    These bars look delicious.

  20. TXEdoe Says:

Every little gluten-free sweet treat is heaven-sent. 🙂

  21. Kara Says:

I’m an angel when I make baby hash brown breakfast quishes for my son, but I’m a devil for sneaking in pureed cauliflower and broccoli 🙂

  22. Meghan Says:

She’s definitely a devil when she takes the last piece of something and hides(usually under the table) so she’s guaranteed the last piece

  23. Debi Says:

I am an angel because I make sure my family is well cared for in diet and support; on the other hand I am a little devil hiding vegetables they normal will eat anyway in foods so I am sure they are getting their “daily equivalence of them”

  24. patricia Says:

I like to be an angel by making lots of gluten free foods for others who do not have the time to do it or do not know how to do it.
