    My favorite gluten free treat is Against the Grain rosemary baguette. I make garlic bread to go along with supper and it is delish!! Even my husband who is not GF asks for this bread.

    I’ve been loving salad the last few weeks, eatting it for 2 meals a day most days. Also I’ve finally found a pasta I like which is great because before going gluten free I used to eat pasta at least twice a week. I can’t remember the brand name but we get it at Ocean State Job lot for $1.50 a bag!

    I also buy the corn pasta (for only $1.50 a bag) and it IS good! The name of it is SamMills – Pasta d’oro. Ocean State also has Bob’s Red Mill products for cheap too!

    I have a great recipe for a spinach quiche that uses a rice crust that I have made for years. When I was diagnosed with celiac a year ago I was very happy to realize one of my favorites was naturally gluten free without any changes.

    Being gluten free for over 20 years, find I’ve become more open to trying new dishes.. and love that shopping is getting easier with more items being labelled Gluten-free! Last night I had such dish with Thai Pavilion’s packaged rice noodle & sauce… adding lots of veggies and chicken breast. Even my husband loved it. Am fortunate to be in the Grainless Baker’s delivery range to specialty shops – Mock Rye bread is awesome. Was also surprised for Christmas by my kids baking up a batch of the GF Betty Crocker Brownies – as yummy as I remembered.. now just to get all these to come down in cost a little. Suppliers that offer discounts, sales, and giveways or samples.. Hurray!

    I love using chicken with gluten free pasta, or in a slow cooker. I also like Tofutti brand imitation cream cheese, to make chocolate bliss cheese cake. My daughter and I, are also fans of Ians gluten free products.

    I am so happy popcorn is gluten free! I am also lactose intolerant so I make my popcorn with Orville Redenbachers butter flavor popcorn oil. My family doesn’t even miss the butter! I also love to have Chex puppy chow mix (homemade) to nibble on!

    Our favorite eat it everyday item is a french bread that I adapted to use higher protein flours in it. It’s excellent for sandwhiches, appetizers, and as a side. Yum! And of course, anything with chocolate is our other family favorite!

    I love Tinkyada Pad Thai (brown rice noodles) with anything — but especially with chicken and vegies with peanut butter sauce – YUM. and Elana’s Pantry chocolate chip cookies — best recipe!!

    I love Thai food and have started cooking it at home. It is not only gluten fee but easy to prepare and tasty. I combine rice noodles with a ginger sauce(la choy) and chicken or seafood and veggies. YUMMY!

    My favorite gluten free meals —

    Shrimp stir fried with rice and home-made gluten free sweet and sour sauce!

    As far as guiltier treats, my two favorites are gluten free buffalo wings (easily gluten free if they’re baked/broiled instead of fried, and slightly healthier too) and amaretti cookies made with almond paste.

    Maybe not together, but seperately very yummy!!

    I would LOVE to try some new mixes though – they sound delish!

    I am working hard to find a GF rye tasting bread for my son & me. I love the Bob’s Red Mill Hearty Whole Grain best of all the mixes but he is still missing the taste of real rye. I do bake bread from scratch too and would love to be able to fulfill his rye tastebuds. Thanks, Jeannie

    Hello all,
    My favorite gluten-free, nut-free, casein-free, etc. family recipe/meals/treats are the following for starters, it’s wild rice vegetable soup from my GF Vegan recipe book. Next for the main dish would have to be chicken braised in mushroom & onion sauce. For dessert, it is simply a square from one of my favorite dark chocolate bars of high quality of course (Ghiradelli, Lindt, Dagoba, Chuao, Green & Blacks or Scharffenberger).

    I LOVE sweet potato fries and ketchup…and my husband does too! We slice them up, skin and all, and toss them with olive oil, Italian sesoning and Cajun seasonings, and roast them in the oven at 375 for 45 minutes to an hour. They’re great with a juicy hamburger on top of a Kinnikinnick gluten free dinner roll! YUM!

    We love fried rice here–lots of veggies (onion is always there but the others are whatever is in the fridge), perhaps some meat (cooked chicken, sliced or diced, is a favorite), and soy sauce. I add one egg, beaten, for each person eating dinner with us (4 people = 4 eggs) and stir them in at the end. Stir until eggs are set; serve.

    I love baking with almond flour! The baked goods I have made are amazing! I am interested in trying the donut mix. Bothmy grown sons are recently diagnosed and they would love to have Mom make donuts for them!

    I found an amazing recipe for Greek chicken and rice soup last week. It has chicken, brown rice, lemon, egg and chicken broth. I made it during the snow storm Saturday and there was enough for lunch over the next three days. Wish I had more now!

    I am in love with the It’s Good to Be Gluten-Free cookbook. I love that it gives (usually) four different flour variations for the baking instructions. But I have to say that I am sooo into making my own chicken/veggie/beef stock. I use it for everything. And it makes my house smell so homey!!!

    I’m so glad to find Udi’s products! Their bread is the first bread I’ve found that I like, so now I can have sandwiches again! They also make great pizza crusts, which is nice when you’re in a rush and don’t want to wait on yeast and all when making crust.

    Roasted chicken with potatoes and onions, a green veggie and to start some rice pasta with marinara sauce. All GF and all enjoyed by the non Celiacs as well. Then for dessert either Turkey Hill ice cream or one of the Betty Crocker GF mixes. I’m intrigued though by the donut hole mix by Little Bay Baking!

    I HAE DISCOVERED MACAROONS EASY TO MAKE AND DELICIOUS, 1 EGG WHITE 1/4 OF HONEY AND 2 CUPS OF SHREDDED COCONUT. BEAT EGG WHITE TILL STIIFF ADD HONEY BEAT TILL STIIFF AGAIN, TURN MIXER OFF ADD COCONUT. BAKE IN 350 OVEN FOR 2O MINUTES LET COOL DELICIOUS!

    I have a recipe for chocolate cake that my friends and I can’t get enough of. The cake recipe is not that high in fat and if I feel like being really bad I make a berry filling and white chocolate almond frosting for it.

    My whole family loves Orgran corn/vegetable corkscrew pasta, mixed with bruschetta, diced grilled chicken and pesto. Add some local-bakery-made GF rolls (turned into garlic bread) and we’re in heaven!

    Recently diagnosed and learning to eat Gluten, dairy, and egg free (and possibly soon to add soy to the list) I can say I am trly strugglign and missing foods I loved.

    As far as recipes we are enjoying that are gluten free. I cook up extra brown rice and the other night made a feast of brown rice, broccoli, red onion, red pepper, and my new gluten free low-sodium tamari–we still eat meat so we had roasted porch chops with it. For left overs the enxt day I scooped in black beansand more red peppers and had a veggie feast.

    But I want to figur eout how to make good bread without a bread maker and find a good substitute for a grill cheese sandwhich.

    I am off to the marquette food co-op hoping to get more guidance and solutions, today.

    One of my favorites is the Chex Muddie Buddies recipe. I used to use Corn Crunch-ems or Rice Crunch-ems, but now some of the Chex cereals are gluten-free so I have gone back to using them.

    We love Pamela’s gf bread mix and the brownie mix. We also love Tinkyada pastas in all kinds of recipes. Chicken and broccoli alfredo with Tinkyada fettucine is a favorite!

    I just found UDI’s Bagels!!! This find may have ended my seemingly endless quest for a really good GF bagel. They are the best of all of the GF bagels that I have tried in (5) years. The size is very generous too. Breakfast tomorrow will be a Bacon, Egg & Cheese Bagel soft enough to bite through both halves at once.
    I also just received my first variety pack of Glutenfreedas instant oatmeal yesterday (from Amazon $3.85 for (6) packets) and they are soooo much better than Quaker ever was. I had the Banana Maple with Flax this morning.
    If you’re looking for an incredible white bread from a mix – give Duinkerken a try, you will not be disappointed – promise. So far, only internet order available for my central Minnesota home.

    I just discovered Udi’s bread and it is amazing! Best gluten free bread ever!
    I am surprised that so many of you like the Betty Crocker brownie mix. I find it has an odd after taste. I LOVE Bob’s Red Mill brownie mix though and every time I make that everyone loves it – even those that aren’t on a gluten free diet!

    If you’re a busy mom and like things to be fast and easy i suggest Glutino gravy sauce and mixes. My stepmother found them at a little farmers market believe it or not, and all they take is water. Easy fixes for when you want the family and yourself to feel that homecooked feeling. Pour over mashed potatoes and meat of your choice and there are even a few that can be used as a base for soups and stews, I’ll gaurntee that you’ll feel like it took hours to make and it only took 5 minutes and tastes sooo good.

    French Meadows brownies make my day! Sooooooo good!!! 🙂 It is nice to be able to just pick up something like a brownie that has such nostalgia and not have to experiment in the kitchen for hours to try to recreate.
